Dr. Sears specializes in assessment and treatment for eating disorders, body dysmorphic disorder, body image, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. She works with children, adolescents, and adults. Her health psychology background formed the basis for her multidimensional approach to treatment. She is trained in dialectical behavior therapy, family-based treatment for eating disorders, cognitive behavioral therapy for eating disorders, and interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT). Dr. Sears utilizes evidence-based approaches and synthesizes research as a guide to effective treatment, using collaborative, empathetic, and supportive means.
