Dr McKay is a professor of psychology at Fordham University and a leading expert in anxiety disorders, OCD, phobias, and disgust-related conditions. His research explores evidence-based treatments, emotion regulation, and how disgust contributes to avoidance behaviors in mental health. Dr. McKay has authored numerous books and articles advancing cognitive-behavioral approaches to anxiety and OCD. More recently, his work has focused on the politicization of medical and mental health systems, with special attention to the emergence of antisemitism within these fields. He is an active voice in raising awareness and fostering dialogue around bias in healthcare, co-leading educational initiatives through the Association of Jewish Psychologists. Through both clinical research and social advocacy, Dr. McKay brings a unique and timely perspective to the conversation on mental health and professional ethics.
