Dr. Monson is a Professor of Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University and founder and CEO of Nelly Health. She has authored over 185 peer-reviewed publications, eight books, and 42 book chapters focusing on PTSD interventions, particularly cognitive-behavioral therapies and couple therapy. Dr. Monson co-developed Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Cognitive-Behavioral Conjoint Therapy (CBCT) for PTSD, both widely recognized treatments. Her research has been funded by organizations such as the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Canadian Institutes of Health. She is a Fellow of the American and Canadian Psychological Associations and the Royal Society of Canada.
